Children's Ministries
 "One day
some parents brought their children to Jesus so he
could
touch them and bless them, but the disciples told them
not to bother
Him. But when
Jesus saw what was happening,
He was very displeased with his
disciples. He said to them,
"Let the children come to
me. Don't
stop them! For the kingdom
of God belongs to such as these."
Mark 10:13-14
The two verses above carry significant spiritual meaning for
us
today. In personal terms, they urge us to consider what it
means
to be like a child, and how this applies to the kingdom of
God. However
there is an obvious lesson there for us as well: Christ urged his
disciples
to make children a priority, and this principle still holds true
today.
Many other verses in the Bible also stress this point.

Consider
the following facts:
-
85% of all people who come to know Christ do so
before
age 14.
- 75% of all people who recive the call to the ministry
receive their
call
as a child.
- over 90% of what people learn, the learn while they
are still children.
At Calvary Baptist Church, we love children and
strive to meet their
spiritual needs in every way possible. Our church is a loving and
encouraging atmosphere for families. It's a place where children
learn about Christ's love and sacrifice for us, and the wisdom of God's
word that can be applied to our lives. We would love the chance to
include
your whole
family in our activities and get to know you. In
the fall of 2008, we became involved in two new programs on Wednesday
nights, GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) for girls and CSB
(Christian Service Brigade) for boys. These programs are thriving and
our children are growing in Christ! Check out the "Web Resources" page
for links to the GEMS and CSB websites.
