As you are preparing to listen to this message, you need to know that I love the Word of God. I just don’t like it a little bit – I love it. The messages I give on Sunday mornings (or any other time for that matter) aren’t espousing my opinions or what I want to believe. They are intentionally based upon what God has said. Isaiah 55:10-11 tells us that when the Word of God is preached that it is guaranteed to produce results. God says, “…so is my word that goes out from my mouth; It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and the purpose for which I sent it.” So as you listen, if you do, don’t focus on me. I’m just a messenger. But as one who is committed to preaching the Word of God, be sure to listen for God’s message. Remember the exhortation from Colossians 4:2, “Preach the word…”
