ADULT MINISTRIES

Men’s Ministries

“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17

There are several opportunities for men to get together. Life Group opportunities are offered during the week and listed in the bulletin along with other special events. The men assist with the annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes breakfast held at CBC in the fall for Pitman, THS and Turlock Christian High School students. A special event for the men is the annual Converge PacWest Men’s Retreat held in March at Mount Hermon. Sign-ups usually start in January.

Women’s Ministries

“A gracious woman retaineth honor” Proverbs 11:16

We have a women’s ministry with opportunities for women to get together at various times, in various activities, having a good time and caring for each other. There is a Life Group that meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays each month. Sunday mornings a Ladies Bible Study is held in the Dining Room at 11:00 am. Other activities include the annual Converge PacWest Women’s Conference held in January or February in Monterey at the Hyatt Regency. The retreat is organized through the Converge PacWest branch of our Baptist conference. Another activity is a Cabin Retreat normally held in Calaveras County in May.

Young Adults Ministry

A Life Group meets at 10:00 am on Sundays in Room 6 of the Ministry Center.

Senior Adults Ministry

A special Christmas luncheon is held for seniors in December. Some of the seniors enjoy going out to lunch together on Sunday’s following the Traditional Service. Other special activities are announced in the bulletin and newsletter.

Worship Ministry

The mission of our worship ministry is to lead the attenders of CBC in active and meaningful worship through a variety music while reaching out to our community by providing choices of worship style. All services meet on Sunday morning. The Contemporary Worship Service begins at 9:30 am in the Sanctuary and the Spanish Service follows at 11 am. Both services include instrumentalists and singers with sound, lighting and media operators assisting. A Traditional Worship Service is held in our Chapel at 11 am.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. CBC is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. We can put your prayer requests on our email prayer chain and in our weekly bulletin prayer list if you would like to have many people praying with you.

Mission Outreach

We are thrilled to be part of spreading God’s kingdom around our community and the world. We offer a short-term mission trip to Mexico during spring break every year and have even sent teams to Haiti and South Africa. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.
