Children’s Ministry
Sunday mornings our loving staff will enable your kids to experience God through fun Bible learning, creative activities, games, and much more. Kids classes each Sunday are: Children’s Church during first service for 1st-6th grade and Sunday School. Nursery care is available both services for Little Wigglers where they discover each other, toys, hugs and clean diapers when needed.
During second service we offer traditional Sunday School. Your kids will open their Bibles and get comfortable exploring God’s Word, finding key passages, and memorizing scripture.
During the school year we offer Wednesday evening programs of worship, Bible learning and games. These programs, GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) for girls and CSB (Christian Service Brigade) for boys, begin at 6:30 pm and end at 8:00 pm.
Summer Camp takes place in July each year but the fundraising happens year-round. Summer camp is a place where kids from many churches come together and learn to worship God, study God’s Word together, get to know kids and leasers from their local church, and witness other kids accept Christ and get to know Him as “their” Lord and Savior.
Jr. High & High School Ministry
Calvary Baptist has dynamic youth ministry activities that help teens and pre-teens discover a venturous walk with Christ. They meet on Sunday mornings and Sunday evenings, featuring inspiring talks, exciting videos, games/activities and a chance to meet new friends through small group times. Our Sunday morning time at 11:00 am in the gym focuses on a journey through the Bible and provides a time of challenge and relevance. Jr. High and High School students also meet for youth group on Sunday nights at 6:30 pm in the youth room located at the south end of the ministry center.
We have special events like camps, Missions opportunities, swim parties, concerts and other monthly activities that provide a great time of interaction and spiritual growth.
More Ministry Opportunities
Challenger’s Sports Clinics: At various times of the year volleyball and basketball clinics are offered to young people of the community.
3-on-3 Basketball Tournaments: There are evangelistic 3-on-3 basketball tournaments for different age groups that are hosted at various times of the year.
Worship Ministry: Opportunities include instrumentalists and singers for the Contemporary Worship Service (9:30 am on Sundays) and the Traditional Worship Service (11:00 am on Sundays) as well as the A/V Team, sound, lighting, media operators for services and programs.
Drama Ministry: We usually have at least drama a month during church services and many high schoolers are participants in this ministry.
